The CARRY THE SUN Futaba Town Reconstruction Support Model is
a reconstruction support project where purchased units are donated to Futaba Town, Fukushima Prefecture.
A total of 285 units purchased from its launch in September 2021 to the end of December were
donated to Futaba Town on January 14, 2022.
We communicated that these 285 CARRY THE SUN lights were filled with each and every one of your feelings of support for Futaba Town, and handed them over.
Futaba Town in Fukushima Prefecture is still experiencing the evacuation of all residents due to the nuclear accident, but temporary returns and overnight stays for townspeople have begun in preparation for the long-awaited return of residents around June of this year.
The temporary town hall, which was in Iwaki City, is also scheduled to move to a temporary building in front of Futaba Town Station around August.
One can feel the atmosphere of the town finally beginning to move forward.
The CARRY THE SUN lights donated this time will be used as gifts for returning townspeople and
as disaster prevention supplies for the town.
To further raise awareness about Futaba Town, we will continue this initiative, and we ask for your continued cooperation!
