Delivering to Noto! Collaboration Model Born from Actor Mayumi Wakamura's Production

April has arrived, and with it, the pleasant season of warm sunshine.
We've created a special collaboration model that evokes the arrival of spring, named "My Little Sun"—"Mon Petit Soleil."

This is an urgent collaboration project realized with actress Mayumi Wakamura, who, in addition to her work in theater and TV dramas, is actively involved in environmental protection and disaster relief. She wanted to send support to Noto, her "second hometown" where she began her acting career, and agreed to Carry the Sun's Noto Peninsula earthquake recovery efforts.
"Mon Petit Soleil" is named after a line from the play she will be starring in, which begins on April 5th at the Tokyo Metropolitan Theatre. The design features a cute handwritten logo by Mayumi Wakamura herself.
This play is a confident work by Florian Zeller, a playwright leading the French theater world. Tickets are expected to sell out, and additional performances have already been announced.

The theater version comes with a special aurora pouch, offering a different kind of enjoyment than the online version.

On November 3, 2023, we received a letter of appreciation at the "FY2023 Futaba Town Commendation Ceremony" held in Futaba Town, Fukushima Prefecture.Futaba Town was forced to evacuate all its residents due to the nuclear accident in 2011 and is striving for town development from scratch.In response to this situation, we wondered if there was anything we could do,and with the cooperation of Futaba Town Hall officials and OVER ALLs, who support reconstruction through mural art, we began selling the "Carry the Sun Futaba Town Reconstruction Support Model" in 2021. This project was launched with the desire to let as many people as possible know about Futaba Town's efforts towards reconstruction. We are grateful that many customers have purchased products from our official website, the Fukushima antenna shop "Fukushima-kan" in Nihonbashi, and stores in Futaba Town. This has enabled us to donate 285 Carry the Sun units in January 2022 and another 200 units in March 2023. This time, our activities were recognized, and we received a letter of appreciation at the Futaba Town Commendation Ceremony, which honors individuals and organizations that have contributed to the advancement of town administration, improvement of resident welfare, and support for evacuees. This reconstruction support model not only delivers "light" to the affected areas, but also provides an opportunity for more people to learn about Futaba Town through the product. Thanks to all our supporters, including the purchasers who resonated with this idea, we were able to receive this letter of appreciation. 南スーダン難民キャンプからメッセージが届きました！

We've received a message from a refugee camp in South Sudan!

Thank you for your continued support of our 【BUY ONE GIVE ONE®︎】 initiative. South Sudan, which gained independence from Sudan in 2011, continues to face an unstable situation due to armed conflict. As of 2021, approximately 8.3 million people (over 70% of the total population of 10.75 million) are in need of humanitarian assistance. In June 2020, we began preparations to deliver Carry the Sun units to people living in internally displaced persons (IDP) camps in South Sudan. We overcame various difficulties and challenges, including logistics restrictions caused by the global COVID-19 pandemic and the establishment of distribution criteria to prevent disputes within local communities. After 15 months, we successfully donated 1,000 Carry the Sun units. We have finally received heartwarming messages from the IDP camps! 第1回「太陽を届ける旅」〜タイ・ミャンマー〜 を実施しました

The first "Journey to Deliver the Sun" to Thailand and Myanmar has been completed.

Thank you for supporting the "BUY ONE GIVE ONE®" project, which delivers the same number of Carry the Sun lights as you purchase to people in need. From August 21st to 27th, we held the first SDGs experiential program, "Journey to Deliver the Sun," for 7 days. Two users who had purchased in the past and Landport staff visited the border region of Thailand and Myanmar together to deliver the lights directly! We visited Mae Sot, located about 400km northwest of Bangkok, Thailand, on the border with Myanmar. This area is home to many Myanmar refugees who have fled the escalating military coup, as well as the Karen ethnic minority. A total of 624 Carry the Sun units were delivered to Umpiem Camp, which houses approximately 9,000 Myanmar refugees, as well as migrant schools attended by refugee and ethnic minority children, private organizations providing medical care in conflict zones, and one of Thailand's largest slums. The first "Journey to Deliver the Sun" was a wonderful trip that brought many smiles and fulfillment to both the participants who delivered the gentle light to illuminate people's lives and the children who received them.
