While BUY ONE GIVE ONE(R), which delivers the same number of Carry the Sun units purchased to areas without electricity, is an initiative that allows us to realize social contribution, we have decided to plan the open SDGs experience program "Journey to Deliver the Sun" due to user feedback expressing a desire to "feel and experience the contribution more directly." The first session will be held from August 21 to 28, 2023.
The first "Journey to Deliver the Sun" will deliver Carry the Sun to people in mountainous regions of Thailand where electricity infrastructure is underdeveloped, and to Myanmar people who have lost their homes and are forced to live as displaced persons due to the military coup.
Purchasing users will accompany our staff to the electricity-deprived areas of Thailand and Myanmar and personally hand Carry the Sun to the local people.
In addition to delivering Carry the Sun to schools in mountainous areas lacking lighting and interacting with children, we will visit refugee camps and medical institutions, and engage in dialogue with key persons who are actively involved in support activities on the ground.
Updates on the "Journey to Deliver the Sun," an open SDGs experience program where participants deliver Carry the Sun with their own hands, will be posted periodically on Instagram and the official website.
