【The Buy One Give One circle is expanding! ♪】
March is also the month of the Great East Japan Earthquake, and it is a time when requests for interviews and appearances regarding disaster preparedness increase.
On March 19th, we had the pleasure of appearing on InterFM's program "Le Cœur."
This broadcasting station was established in response to the insufficient disaster information available to foreign language speakers residing in Japan during the 1995 Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake. In the same year, frequencies were allocated to Osaka and Tokyo with the condition that they would broadcast in foreign languages during emergencies, and the station opened on April 1st of the following year.
The concept of CARRY THE SUN®, a solar lantern that can be used anytime, anywhere, by anyone, also came to mind during the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake, so I felt a sense of familiarity.
Beyond the physical appeal of the eco-friendly and sustainable CARRY THE SUN®, they also showed strong interest in our social contribution program, Buy One Give One®, and we were able to talk a lot about it.
Lessons learned from various experiences such as the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake, the Great East Japan Earthquake, and the Noto Peninsula Earthquake, have led to product development where "everyday life becomes preparedness" and a service where "what you do for yourself benefits others," directly linking purchases to support. We feel the circle of people who agree with this expanding.
