Purpose of Use
To provide light to the victims of the Great Turkish Earthquake and give them some hope.
Reason for Adoption
We supported mountaineer Ken Noguchi's project. When I got my hands on it beforehand, it was light and compact, and despite its small size, the light output was sufficient. When I showed it to people in the disaster-stricken areas of Ishinomaki and Onagawa, everyone said, "I wish we had this back then." So, I confidently decided to adopt it.
Comment from the Person in Charge
The probability of a major earthquake occurring in Japan is increasing. Also, power outages can suddenly occur due to typhoons. If every household has at least one of these solar lanterns, they can feel safe. I'd like to always carry it in my backpack and show it to everyone. I think that will make it feel more real.
●About Phoenix Rescue Team
Established on the day of the Great East Japan Earthquake. Dispatched within 72 hours of the disaster to connect lives that were saved. Based on the LCP (Life Continuity Plan), we operate according to the needs of the affected areas. Specifically, we provide food, drinking water, and clothing, offer hot meals, remove earth and sand with heavy machinery, restore damaged houses and schools, organize reconstruction support concerts, and support children, among other activities. All members have their main professions, including medical professionals, public servants, organizational staff, construction, electrical, teachers, travel, and finance.
